For product leaders

Keep decisions connected to reality.

A decision is only worth as much as the record of it. OSAgent is the operating memory for your company: it connects what your team said, what your team decided and what your team actually did — so a choice made in August is still findable, and still checkable, in October.

OSAgent doesn't make product decisions. It gives you the context to make them, and the record after you have.

Who this is for

You own a roadmap, and a roadmap is a stack of decisions.

  • You spend real hours every month re-explaining choices your team already made.
  • The document says one thing and the build says another, and both are two months old.
  • The reason behind a scope cut is the first thing to disappear and the first thing anyone asks for.

The problem

A decision gets made in a thread, and is invisible three weeks later.

It doesn't vanish. It just stops being findable at the exact moment it matters — in the planning meeting, in the review, in the scope argument you have already had once.

So the decision gets made again. Sometimes the same way. Sometimes not.

The cost isn't the meeting. It's that the spec, the build and the team's understanding drift apart, and nobody can point at when.

A decision without its trail is just an opinion someone remembers.

Where it was made

A thread, at 6pm, between three people, with the reasoning in the middle of it.

Where it was written down

A document that was accurate the day it was written and has not been touched since.

Where it actually landed

A branch that quietly does something else, for a reason that was also a decision.

What it looks like

Illustration

One decision, kept whole — including the part nobody updated.

Example content, not a customer workspace. The last row is the point: the decision changed, the work followed it, and the written artefact did not.

Ship import without bulk upload.

  1. Aug 12Decided

Bulk upload moves out of the first release so the review step can ship on time.

    #product · 9 messages
  2. Aug 14Confirmed

The reduced scope is accepted in the review. Nobody objects on the record.

    design review · transcript
  3. Aug 29Superseded

Bulk upload is put back in for launch after a design-partner conversation.

    #product · 4 messages
  4. TodayNot updated

The branch contains bulk upload. The spec still says it is out of scope.

What changes for you

You answer with the record instead of your memory.

“Why did we do that?” takes one line.

The decision, the date, the people in the thread and the reason — with the original messages attached, in the original tone.

You stop re-litigating.

The argument ends at the record instead of at whoever remembers hardest.

You see the decision and the build separate.

The spec says out of scope, the branch says otherwise. That is a finding on Tuesday, not a surprise at launch.

Your written artefacts stop rotting quietly.

When something changes downstream of a decision, the change is visible instead of implied.

How it works

Nobody has to keep a decision log. That is the job.

1

Connect the places decisions actually get made.

Slack threads, documents, meeting transcripts, pull request discussions. Not a decision log somebody has to remember to fill in.

2

OSAgent recognises a decision when it happens.

Who decided, when, what it commits to, and the exact messages that constitute it.

3

It keeps the decision attached to the work.

The threads, documents and pull requests that came after it stay connected to it.

4

It tells you when they diverge.

The divergence is surfaced as a recommendation. You accept it or you don't — nothing changes on its own.

Observes → Connects → Explains → Recommends → You decide.

Why you can trust it

A decision it can't cite is a decision it won't claim.

An invented decision is worse than a missing one. A missing decision sends you looking. An invented one gets built.

It never invents a decision.

If nothing in the connected sources states one, OSAgent says none was found. It does not infer what the team probably meant, and it does not round a strong opinion up into a decision.

A decision is a citation, not a paraphrase.

Every extracted decision keeps the messages it came from, so you can read the original wording rather than trust a summary of it.

Uncertainty is shown, not smoothed over.

An extraction OSAgent is not sure about is marked for review instead of presented as settled.

Your work is never modified.

OSAgent does not update your spec, your tickets or your roadmap. It tells you they disagree and leaves the edit to you.

Ask it about a decision you have already explained twice.

Pick the choice your team keeps reopening, and see whether OSAgent returns the thread, the reason and what changed after — with sources you can open. OSAgent is in a private pilot; workspaces are set up with our team, so a demo is the way in.
