Why OSAgent

Your tools already work. The gap is between them.

Slack has the conversation. GitHub has the change. Documents have the plan. The tracker has the ticket. Not one of them holds the thread that runs through all four — so every week, somebody reassembles it by hand.

OSAgent keeps the thread. Every important answer has a trail.

Every tool holds one part of the story.

This is not a case against your stack. Each of these is very good at the job it was built for, and none of them should be replaced. The problem is narrower than that: no single one of them was built to hold what happens between them.

  • SlackHolds the conversation. Not the record. The decision was made in there — somewhere under four hundred messages, in a thread that trailed off after someone said “agreed”.
  • GitHubHolds the change. Not the reason. It knows exactly what merged and when. It has never heard of the meeting where the scope changed.
  • DocumentsHold the plan. Not what happened. A spec describes the intent on the day it was written, not the six weeks that followed it.
  • A trackerHolds the ticket. Not the truth. A card moves when someone remembers to move it. A status field is a claim; it is not evidence.
  • SearchFinds the message. Not the situation. Ten results is a reading list. Somebody still has to read them and work out what they add up to.
  • A general assistantProduces an answer. Not the receipts. An answer you cannot check is a guess with better grammar.
  • OSAgentOSAgentHolds the thread between them — and shows you the evidence for every answer it gives.

The problem isn't a lack of information.
It's that the story is scattered.

Everything you would need to explain last month already exists inside your company. It is written down. It is just written down in six places, in six formats, by six people who each saw one part of it.

So the cost never shows up as missing data. It shows up as the hour before a board update. The standup that exists only because nobody trusts the tracker. The new engineer who takes three weeks to learn something that was decided in one afternoon, in a thread nobody can find.

Nobody should have to reconstruct the week from scratch.

What OSAgent holds instead.

OSAgent is the operating memory for your company. It connects what your team said, what your team decided, and what your team actually did — so you know what changed, what's stuck, and why.

One connected memory
Slack, GitHub, Discord, documents and meeting transcripts read into a single record — not four search indexes sitting next to each other.
Answers with sources
Ask in plain language. The answer comes back with the messages, pull requests and documents it was drawn from.
Said vs. actually happened
When the plan and the record disagree, that contradiction is the thing worth knowing. It gets surfaced, not averaged away.
A morning read
What changed, what is blocked, what needs a decision — before the first meeting of the day.
Proposals, not actions
OSAgent recommends. A person with the authority accepts. The record shows who accepted it, and when.
Your workspace only
Memory is scoped to your workspace. Disconnect a source and what that source brought in goes with it.

And what it deliberately doesn't do.

A category full of promises is a category where the limits matter more than the features. Ours are short and we would rather you read them now than discover them later.

  • It doesn't replace your tools

Your team keeps working in Slack, GitHub and the tracker. Nothing moves into OSAgent.

  • It doesn't write into them

OSAgent reads your connected sources without modifying your work. OSAgent never modifies your work — no branches, review comments, ticket changes, status changes, or source-data edits or deletes.

  • It doesn't author your work

It does not write your specs, your code or your standup for you. It observes what your team produced.

  • It doesn't answer without evidence

When the record does not support an answer, OSAgent says so rather than assembling a plausible one.

OSAgent doesn't run your company.
It gives you the context to run it.

It observes, connects, explains and recommends. Every recommendation stays a proposal until someone with the authority to decide accepts it — and the record shows who did, and when.

  1. Observes
  2. Connects
  3. Explains
  4. Recommends
  5. You decide

One line to take away.

Your tools record what your company does. OSAgent remembers what it means — and can always show you where that came from.

If you want the mechanics, how it works walks through connect, observe, connect the story, answer with evidence, you decide. If you want the limits and the security answers first, start with trust.

private pilot

See the thread, on your own tools.

OSAgent is in a private pilot. We set the workspace up with you, connect one or two sources, and you ask it something you already know the answer to.
